Marti Kopacz is an accomplished executive with more than 25 years of experience leading companies, teams, process improvement projects, and financial and operational reorganizations. Her expertise includes leadership roles in advisory and professional services firms where she built best-in-class consulting practices, led engagements across diverse industry sectors, and completed numerous accelerated merger and acquisition transactions domestically and internationally.

In her role as TNG Chief Executive Officer, Kopacz leads TNG Consulting with a deep capacity for managing complex transactions as well as dynamic and challenging situations. She is an influential communicator who collaborates with and gains consensus among stakeholders. Kopacz was one of the first professionals to apply corporate turnaround and restructuring principles to mission-based enterprises, including not-for-profit, educational, and governmental organizations.

Kopacz has a passion for innovation within professional services and a long history of strategic practice leadership within the largest professional services firms.  She founded and served as National Managing Principal for Corporate Advisory and Restructuring Services at Grant Thornton LLP. She built a world-class practice, attracting “A” talent and generating over $125 million in revenues and $30 million in profits in less than four years. Kopacz had full profit and loss and operational accountability for personnel matters, marketing and branding, and policies and procedures including client service standards, quality assurance and regulatory requirements. She was responsible for integrating the United Stated-based practice into the pre-existing global footprint. She sourced, negotiated, and integrated the firm’s successful acquisition of an industry vertical consulting practice, enhancing Grant Thornton’s domestic and international capabilities across three continents.

Previously, Kopacz was one of three Managing Directors to launch the public sector consulting practice at Alvarez & Marsal.  She played a key role in FTI Consulting’s acquisition of the PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) restructuring business as a member of the negotiating team.  At the time, she was a Principal and member of the Management Committee for the Business Recovery Services at PwC, where she also served on the firm’s Global Retail Leadership team, helping to build capabilities and serve clients in Asia and Europe. 

Kopacz received her M.B.A., Finance and Investments and a B.S., Marketing from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, Bloomington, IN where she serves on the Kelley School Dean’s Advisory Council.  She is a Certified Management Accountant, Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor, holds a Certificate of Completion – American Bankruptcy Institute/St. John’s University Bankruptcy Mediation Training. Kopacz is certified as a registered yoga instructor, a workplace mindfulness facilitator, and a participant in the Inner MBA program, bringing conscious and socially responsible leadership to business enterprises.
